Looking for control line fiyers in northern Ohio

I live in Northern Ohio near Cleveland Ohio, about 25 miles west of Cleveland. I joined North Coast Controlliners. They meet on Tues. evening and Sunday afternoon. Both times are just not right for me. I am retired and love to fly control line. I have a place at home and about 5 miles from home to fly but know no one that flys in my area between Oberlin and Grafton Ohio.
If anyone knows of a club in this area or fliers that could meet on Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri, or Sat please let me know how to contact them.

Bill, sorry to hear that tuesdays and sundays aren't good for you. You can use the field anytime you like except fair time. If you dont have a roster I'll send you one so you can contact some folks but unfortunately I am the farthest west member. Dan Radway is out in Wellington, hes not a club member but I'll get you his phone number.

Wayne, I am a member and I live in Lorain. However, My work and travel schedule kind of make it dificult for me to get out to the fairgrounds when flying is going on as well. During the short period when there were get-togethers at the Lorain Community College, I did make it occasionally since I work about 5 minutes from that site. But, I guess most of the members live closer to the fairgrounds, and LCCC must have been a fair haul for them. I used to be able to fly at a small park across the street from me, but it is getting too populated now for safety. I've used mufflers for a long time so I never had a noise problem there. Maybe the promise of the "Trickle Down" economics will come through and I'll be able to get to some flying sites. At least the Cleveland FF society can still get there for their monthly contests, and my R/C club was able to find a new field only 10 minutes from me.

The current World Champion is near you, as well as a whole bunch of real active modelers...

Bill, we had to stop flying at LCCC because they wouldnt cut the grass below 6 inches. It was a shame. Academics just don't get it.

Yah, the LCR/C club was putting on flying demos during their community days until they started scheduling Soccer events on an overlapping schedule on the same field. Never cut the grass then, either.

I pastor a church off Parsons Road we have 8 acers it's 240 foot wide and 1400 foot deep between LaGrange and Grafton closer to Grafton. We cut the grass every week. It would not be a problem to fly there or at my home or the field. I live on Parsons Road near Oberlin I also have room to fly at my home but not as much. I would like to find some one that would like to fly week days or evenings except Tue. or Sun. It's always a lot more fun to fly with someone than trying to use a dead man or stooge launch
