Looking for an OLD POST

I'm looking for Brodak 40 info that say's the 40 will fit in a FOX 35 mount?

Whatever the old post says, it doesn't! It does fit OS Max S 35 mounts.

It is probably confusion because it uses the 3 bolt cover like a Fox 35. These are made by the same people who make the Double Starr engines. The DS 40 was an (almost) copy of the Fox 35 with the exception of the muffler mount and venturi that was bored to a 40. Since they were copying the Fox mount and shaft length, they also copied the back plate (dumb). When Brodak did his 40, he made it to fit the mount and shaft length of the OS 35S. But they use a different still venturi and muffler mount, but retained the back plate copy of the Fox 35 Why? I don't know. (Oh, sorry, Dan, I am not supposed to ask why.)

Anyway, as already answered, it does not fit the Fox 35 mount, but does fit the OS 35S mount and even the FP35/40 with the exception of the shorter shaft length. Oh, and the muffler is almost the same width as that of the Fox 40. Almost.
