Hi all

Does any one have a good set of plans, or no where I can get a set of plans for a 40 size built up fuselage stagger wing?

Appreciate the help.

Hello Tim, Tom Dixon has plans for a 46" Semi-Scale StaggerWing Beech listed under Classic Era 1953-1968 at his web site. Jack Sheeks designed this plane and it appeared in the 4/66 issue of, "Flying Models". I hope this helps. Mike

Michael beat me to it, and I missed Dixon's listing, too. Early-onset CRAFT disease . . .

Thanks for the info, looks like that might be the profile one listed in Model Aviation. I was looking for a built up one, but I can always modify the plans.

Thanks again for the speedy response

Capital Models had a kit for one back about 1946. You might scout around to see if you could find a set of plans for this one. Also, I have a really complete set of Wylam drawings for the whole series of the Staggerwing Beech. Can copy if you would like, then you could scale up to any size you want and have a very accurate model.

Hi Tim,
The Sheeks Staggerwing Beech was in Flying Models, not Model Aviation.
It IS a full fiselage stunt plane that looks pretty good. I would use at least a 40 in it.

Jack Sheek's Staggerwing is an I-beamer. I don't remember where I got this picture. Maybe someone can fill in the blanks. I do remember seeing it at Tulsa 2/3 years ago. Seems like it was powered by a .40.

That is really cool. This would be a neat airplane if trimmed out properly. Does any one remember how well it flew?

It flew well. I'll let you know first hand one of these days as I now own this aircraft(Thanks Doc!).
