#4 sourceOnce he gets the taxi speed and movements down you won't be able to tell it from full scale. I crewed H models and seeing that BUFF taxi back was pure flashback. Good show and I'm not even a jet freak!
It really does need a drag chute to complete the effect, I expect he's got that too.

So far, none of the usual "I can't believe they let people do something as dangerous as this" type responses, and I'm glad of it. It is an awesome model.

FINALLY GOT IT. Boy talk about a flash back. That buff has the orginal paint job from the 1960's. Only a dragchute deploying would make it complete.
No good. The wing doesn't flex right. Something like 21 feet of travel on the wingtips from sitting still to flying. No wonder his rocks so much, he's flying with Anhedrahl!
Time to rebuild.

It comes off the ground tail high and even has the whistle like the H does. I was in the AGM-142 program office and got to crawl around on the H's at Barksdale a bunch doing integration testing and this one looks and sounds REAL close. Give it a low-vis grey paint job, a couple of H peculiar changes (like deleting the tail gun) and you would never know the difference....

I can't take an hour to download the clip but I guess that your talking about the HUGE B-52H with 8 jet motors.
I heard that it flew and had read a report somewhere on this plane. I do know that the 8 motors were on loan from the manufacturer. So who really has over $25K to spend on motors. Yes it's big and it is being flown at an airport and probably will not be making any kind of funfly circuts. An incredable accomplishment but I'd rather have a good car for that kind of cash.
