I have to work late on Tuesday so I won't get much done but here's how I am joining the center section. Tape 1/4 on each side of 3 inch fiberglass tape. Tack at end with CA then use 30 min epoxy and squegee it off. Sinse I will not be painting this model (unless it fly's great )I will spread Z-poxy and wipe it off then block sand.

Oh by the way the black thing in the photo is a Orange crate liner. Makes great epoxy mixing containers. (Local supermarket)

Has anyone tried applying glass using water-based polyurethane (Polycrylic being one type)? The RC Combat people used to do this on bare foam. I've done it also, but with small patches for reinforcement. I'm wondering how strong it'd be compared to epoxy/glass.

I used it on Ripstop nylon, held onto to it fairly well considering that I had the slightly water resistant type and going onto foam. I think it'd hold pretty well on porous, let me hold 10 gallons of water fiberglass and balsa wood.

What are you experimenting with on this plane??

Looks to have a thicker Airfoil.. and a swept trailing egde hingeline.

Nothing wrong with compeditive Profile models. Could be the "next wave" Im serious, you might be onto something.
