Buy snipe-nose pliers. Buy piano wire of a suitable diameter.

Wrist pin keepers or cir-clips for the 36X and many other Foxes of the 29 through 36 sizes are all the same excapt for the MK IV CS and later. How many do you need? I have a few extra. Fox PN 35050 Three per package They seem to thgink that you will lose at least one per engine assembly. If you lose one on a shag rug, to find it, walk barefooted around the area. Better yet get your wife or girlfriend to walk barefooted around the area..

#11 sourceInstallation Hint - When installing do it inside of a cardboard box.
The box I used was approx. 20"W X 24"L X 12"D. (Your Box may vary) The first three times I tried to install the clips, they flew into another dimension! Gone for ever without a trace! Then I tried the box trick and on the first four tries the clip stayed in the box. Attempt number five was a success.
You accurately describe the whereabouts of clips that get away...."another dimension." Haven't recovered one yet!

If you want to crawl around on the floor of my workshop, you will probably find a few of those circlips.
When using Fox combat engines, I always made sure to have a supply on hand. When they'd go "boingggg" and disappear, I never even looked for 'em.

Stick a nice big magnet in the box, and it'll be on the magnet. I have a couple of Voice coil magnets from IBM 3380 disk drive, each weigh about 8 pounds they're that big, and these guys tend to suck everything up. I have them stuck to the cabinet at my feet. I have dropped music wire, bolts, nuts, etc. before and they generally do not hit the ground.

When working with circlips on Fox engines (or any engines), do the work inside a large zip loc bag. You can see through the bag to install or deinstall the circlips and if they get away from you ("boingggg"), they don't go anywhere. They are still in the bag and can easily be recovered for another try.............T.Durrill
