Dye a plastic spinner?

Has anyone tried to Rit dye a plastic spinner? How did it come out?

Yep, used to boil them with nylon props. Worked great.

Hint, stick with Rit dye, NOT food coloring. A friend used black food coloring trying to color a bunch of nylon props. For whatever reason, they ALL turned out HOT HOT HOT pink. About a 2 years supply of props, the razzing lasted considerably longer than that!

Oh, we colored Carl Goldberg spinners back in the early 80's.
