Go to the AMA website and access the MA archives for the August 1983 issue. Scott's article is there as a PDF file.

You can also get a set of the plans as well as a reprint of the article. It is a totatly interesting concept.The 46 powered plane
at 43 oz looks like a freeflight.

The .84 powered plane at 48 oz looked the same. Don't think the wheels ever turned when it was launched.

Also, it helps if you spell the author's name Scott "Baer".

Edit:
And while the Table of Contents correctly lists Page 72 as the start of the article, it actually shows up as Page 74 of the scanned-in archive.

I have no idea what's happening with that!

It counts the cover as page 1, and the inside of the cover as page 2.

Yet then they start the actual page numbering at "1"!

Sort of like the "bad old days" in the early 70s when USAC shortened the Indy 500 to 450 miles (to save fuel) and then had the gall to proclaim that they were cancelling the "first" 50 miles, rather than the last 50!

Sometimes CYA doesn't refer to glue . . .
