Brodak Accentor Fuel Tank?

Which fuel tank should I use in a Brodak Accentor? Brodak's site suggests:

BH541 4 oz. Standard Vent 1"H x 2"W x 4"L

Brodak has two other tanks of identical capacity and size:

BH 531 4 oz. Wide Wedge Magnum Uniflow
BH 550 4 oz. Wide Wedge Uniflow

I'm thinking that a Uniflow would be a better choice than a standard vent, but which one?

Note: The Accentor has a 52" wingspan, 571 sq. in. wing area and an airfoil thickness of 1.75".

It may depend on which engine you're using.

4 oz. is almost certainly adequate for a Fox .35, but I would wonder about completing the pattern with a larger, more powerful engine.

Hmmm, 4 oz. may be marginal for even a Fox .35 in the Accentor, 'cause it may need more nitro, which can kill fuel economy.

I'll be interested in other responses to this myself, as I have an Accentor on the shelf.

I doubt that the Fox 35 would provide enough UMPH, to pull the Accentor. Isn't the Accentor a full fuse version of the Tannager?

The Brodak tanks that I use are the BH489, BH490, BH491. This style is a wedge uniflow with all brass tubing facing forward and it will fit into a narrow fuse without any problems. If I am not mistaken these are 4 ounce, 4.5 ounce and 5 ounce tanks. Check the Catalog.

The 4.5 ounce will fill the bill! The 4.5 ounce tank is used in my ARF Nobler, Cavalier and Oriental. All of these airplanes are powered by a .40 size engine. I don't have any problems with the run times.

A 4oz tank will work, I use a 5oz on my Accentor. It has a big fuel tank area, so you can go bigger then 4 if you want. About the Fox35. That wouldn't be enough to fly the Accentor well. I have an oS 46 in mine and it flies it good, but I use 68' lines on it. Its a great flying airplane. I flew mine in Pampa last year and part of this year, but I smashed TWICE at the Nats this year at the bottom of the clover,first time i could glue it back together, but 2nd nope, so I will have to rebuild it this winter i guess.
