AMA site problem, I can not see articles! Need Guru help!

OK you guys that know your computers, I need help. When I go to the AMA site I can not see the articles. All of the grafics are X out in the top left hand corner. I figure I must have some kind of block in my system that will not let me see these but do not know what or why. I get on every other site fine but AMA!
Any help out there?

Go into the internet explorer settings and tell it to show pictures. That would be in the Advanced functions. Are you using IE or Netscape? Both have similar types of setting up that you can do.

I am using IE but I have no trouble getting pics from any other site, even this one!

I hardly claim guruship, but there are some issues on their end. The site is *incredibly* slow (has been from day 1). I think you are referring to the MA back issue search and display pages. It's really not a very good implementation. Looks like Javascript has to be enabled, so that could be problem 1. Problem 2 might be that you have insufficient patience to wait for the pages to load. I had a lot of trouble even with the T2 line/100baseT Ethernet connection. It looks like the pages are very high-res scans I managed to get a page to download, but it took 10+minutes at essentially full blast on my 45333 BPS connection.

My guess is that there is nothing wrong on your end.

I stopped going there, It would cause my browser to just quit.

At the bottom of the page you get a status as to page loading or done. Mine always says done. If I refresh I get the same done in 1-2 seconds. Still in the upper left corner is the X. I have been able to get on before in the past(6 to 12 months ago) but now never!

Start out by clearing the cache. Not sure how that's done with IE, but it often cures a lot of unexplainable ills with that piece of MS BS.

Tried that Bill, no dice! Any other suggestions? I really would like ot get into the archives.
