I have completed the Tony (bones) and almost ready to cover it. Thanks to Walter Umland and Greg for their help to getting these pictures on the forum. I'd like to thank Clyde Robello for taking the time to take these pictures for me. I don't have a digital camera yet, but real soon! The Tony is now covered and awaiting paint. I have ordered Brodak's dope to try it out. I'll put up more pix's when plane is finished. Thanks again guys.

Larry, I don't think you're actually running up against any setting on this board... I think it's most likely a problem at your end, probably with a firewall setting. I assume you're running a personal firewall program. If not, are you perchance on dialup? If so, maybe its related to your connection. I had a similar problem a while ago. I have a 2-computer home network, connected together (and to the Internet) with a router. From my "main" computer, I could NOT upload pictures to this board (the message said something like "Permission denied") but from the other computer I could, no problem. So I knew the problem was at my end. A bit of investigation revealed that a setting on my personal firewall was the culprit...

You can only upload one pic at a time. Or at least I can only upload one at a time. So I have to upload each picture in succession.
Randy, that's a very good point. When you get the "upload" window (by clicking on "Click here to choose your file"), you click the "Browse" button to choose the file (only ONE) to upload, then click "Upload File!". When the upload window refreshes, READ it carefully. It will say something like "If you want to upload another file, do so, but if you're finished, CLICK HERE to close this window." If you have more files to upload, upload each one (one at a time) in this fashion, then click the "close" link. When you close the upload window, you'll see a series of file names in the "Attachment" box.
Thanks Randy and Tim! I had not thought about each picture being an individual file. I'll try it out and see if it works. OK, I did the one picture and it still denied posting. Still waiting for email from Leonard. Will try again later. Meanwhile I'll check my computer settings. Thanks again.

Thanks John. I'm going with a Max 35 with tounge muffler. With the light weight I think it should be more than enough power even up here at Reno's altitude.

Yes it is. As you know, nothing goes into the kit box for my customer until the plane is test flown and the building problems are corrected. This kit only had one problem in the construction phase and that was the landing gear mounts were not placed in the right place on the 3 ribs, so this was changed and the rib pattern changed to the correct position before any more construction was accomplished. The prototype in the picture has this correction C/W.
For an update, the Brodak paint arrived today and I found it to be excellent! This is the first time for Brodak paint use and I can see the difference from others as the white I'm using has a lot more pigment and even covers over BLACK! On the second coat, no bleed thru at all.

Here's to the people that would like an update on the progress on the Ki-61 Tony, I saw it and it's really coming along nicely. It's covered and has a couple of coats of Brodak color dope and looks great. Larry told me I'm going to be able to fly this plane and get a chance to really ring it out. If it performs half as good as it looks, it ought to be great. I'd like to pass a couple of pictures on now.

At coffee this morning with CR in rjbob's office, CR mentioned that you should now have more pictures. Where are you hiding them?
The Tony is finnished with the exception of the tank. I did take pictures, however, I need to get a digital camera for putting them on the internet. CR forgot to leave me his camera so I guess I just have to wait. The test flight will be next week sometime. It has a new Max 35FP on it and has to be run in before the test flight.
The complete finished weight of this model is 41 ounces with 3 1/2 oz. tank.
Digital Cameraedited#17 source After yesterday's snow and today's wet, you may get digital camera access soon. Since he's been so spoiled by that Reno weather, we may not be able to get CR out to fly here again. If that's the case, he'll start having withdrawal symptoms soon and he'll probably beat a hasty retreat to Reno for a fix.

Scanners are a cheap substitute for digital cameras. I posted photos on Stuka for more than a year before buying a digital camera.
Thanks for the heads up Al. I've never used a scanner either, so I will look into it before I buy a camera.

The plane cleaned up pretty well, it appears. I think that you should trade it to me for one of my rare, well broken in Fox .35's.
I'd have CR pick it up for me and either bring it up to Alaska next summer in the motor home or leave it in Reno at his shop. That way, I'd have to visit to be able to fly it.
How would you like to build the KIT!? It really goes together and fly's great. I'm going out this morning for more flights. Will let you know if I have to build a new one.
