The wing is covered. Everything you see is covered except for the fuselage. The covering is Ozcover. That is why I am so excited about the weight. Practically the thing is ready for color except for the fuselage "tube" which will get layer of 3/4 oz glass and West Systems epoxy. Primer will only be used on the fuselage out beyond the fillets.
This way I hope to keep the finish weight to about 4 oz (1 oz color, 3 oz clear).
The Solace is my own design. The fuselage numbers are the same I used for the Dr. J/Mr. Hyde. The wing is a symmetrical winged Avanti 60. The fuselage side profile is based on Doug's "Nats plane". The rest is me.
Engine is a ROJett 65, or a 77 if I ever get a chance at one...

Hey, I like that. A new acronym.
We now have
ARCs (Almost Ready to Cover)
ARFs (Almost Ready to Fly)
and a new one:
ARPs (Almost Ready to Paint)
(Which goes somewhere in between ARC and ARF I suppose)
When do we get the ARCr? (Almost Ready to Crash)
A little tongue-in-cheek to lighten up the board. But nice looking airplane. Will you sell it to me for $107.49? That's half way between the ARC and ARF price of the Oriental.

I wish we could buy ARFs ARP instead. A covering like OZcover would be perfect. It is paintable and applies like Monocoat.
