OS .35 FP RPM and Prop size recomendations?

I just picked up a stock OS.35 FP with a carb on it still and was wondering is it worth up grading to a venturi and what is the best prop for it and what RPM to run this engine at when launching it?

YES UPGRADE...

NOW RPM'S...engine should run at a hard 4 cycle 8800-9200 On some engine More on some and Less on others. OH Make sure It has a back plate gasket and ONE head gasket.

Unless you fly in the frozen north, I would take issue with Scott:
I would suggest a 10 X 4 APC...these are nifty motors in a rich 2 cycle.

I would also suggest Powermaster GMA 10-22 or SIG 10% nitro, 1/2 / 1/2 castor and synthetic.

It depends upon whether it is an older Iron piston unit or the newer ABN.

THis is an excellent engine. Find out which it is tho because your result will depend upon knowing.

FWIW

If you fill the boost port, it'll swing a 12-5 with authority aroun 9k rpm...
