Well after getting all the bugs worked out and getting the right combo of motor, fuel, pressure or no pressure, control throw, handle spacing, bla bla bla the plane flys unreal!!!! First contest this weekend flying intermediate from beginner. Gotta love those butterflys in the ol' stomach practicing those manuevers that aren't in the beginner pattern. I love this stuff!!

So is it better than, say, a Doodlebug?

Beginner Guy,
Hey let's have the poop. We want numbers, figures, prop sizes, engines lap time, HEY the hole nine yards. If you think you are getting off that easy well you got another think comming!

Naw, if you have a setup that works it may be a great help to other ARFer's out there in Cyberland and yes it will givem a leg up.

Okay Mike, here's what I got goin'. I changed the motor mount situation after the cool brass inserts they give you came unglued and pulled out, so I fixed that and made it right. Powered with an OS LA 40 with 2 head gaskets, an FP 40 backplate (not the plastic stock one with the fuel transfer deal), 5 oz uniflow tank (no pressure, 10/6 prop, 1 1/4 oz's of tail weight for the balance and 60' lines from center of fuselage. This is working sweet.

The square eights are scary, I can do them but they aren't the prettiest thing you ever saw, and for the hourglass I'm told they look good. Not half as scary as the square eights or the square outsides....I hate those square outsides, luckily the plane makes it way easier than what I was flying in beginner...a "Doodlebug".

I finally have my ARF Cardinal flying the way I want. Put a Big Art Muffler (1.7 OZ) with a LA 40 and elevator horn near the hinge line. The weight is 48 Oz and My Non ARF Cardinal is 41 oz. Now I cant decide witch flies better. I will fly it in the Flushing Contest on Sunday even without BOM points. SEE YA NEAL
