ID's

Here it is Saturday morning and just finished mowing the Church yard I take of. So to kill time while drinking a cup of coffee I browsed back thru some of the threads. One in particular caught my attention. Who are all these people that post on this sight? A few I can figure out, like Bigiron and MrClean. I have a patch on my pit box courtesy of Mr Clean. Done business with Bigiron also. Now to Dirty Dan, first met him in Tri-Cities, the first Nats up there in that corner of our great country. Maybe if I stay with this long enough I can figure out a few more.

Now, if you have been in model airplane competition very long you have probably read about or seen my picture in the different magazines. I am DOC Holliday, alias the old man, used to be the farm boy in the early years. So, lets not hide behind nick names or alias's without owning up to who we are. To itterate, I am John E. Holliday. Have been called Lew a few times, but, that's another story. Later, DOC:)

Doc, just click on "Profiles" and you can find the real name of most members plus where they are located and what their main interests are.

I just put out to the garage and stuck my nose into a couple of my balsa storage boxes. I was really is taken aback when I realized that my much treasured Balsa stash smells like old wood!

Do any of you guys know of any good ways to keep balsa smelling fresh? When balsa starts to smell like a pile of old wood, does that mean it's going bad?

Maybe I need to separate the smelly wood from the rest and get rid of it before the whole pile turns into something like old food in a refrigerator!

Please help!

I think if I started to smell like old wood I would worry.

Unfortunately, more & more when I look for the ID, we only get a name, or a "handle". It sure would be nice if they gave the town & state.. or country if not in the USA.. I thought that Leonard was going to require this... How about it Leonard??

I have been trying to encourage it. A few of the accounts got contaminated and the id's don't show. Not the people's fault, but when I discover them I try to contact them and then we have to recreate the account.

And, in case nobody has figured this out, in the upper right hand corner of everybody's post there are a couple of icons. The first one on the left is the e-mail. The second one is to send a private message through the forum (accessable in the user menu at the top of the forum) and third that looks like a face is the person's profile. Click on that and you should get the person's name, and if he has filled it out, his city/state.

So, all of you reading this, if you haven't filled out your profile, go do so now. Go to the user menu at the top of the forum and click on "edit your profile". Then have at it so we can all know where ya'all is from.
