Here are the shots just before covering. As you see it here with all the hardware to make it flight ready it's 46 OZ. Up to a 10 OZ finish should come in at target weight.

Edit: I could not resist.I am going to fiberglass the cowling in the front of the airplane. Z-Poxy and 1/2 oz glass cloth. I don't think it will pick up too much weight. I will post pictures later. After cowling is glassed I can cut the cooling fins in.

Scale reads 847 GRAMS=29.89 OZ After fiberglass. I gained 1/2 OZ. But It should be worth it. Keeping in mind this is a short nose moment and a long tail moment. The little weight I added won't make too much diffrence in balance. Most of the weight to come is behind CG.

I think that is a really gooooood idea reguardless of the weight it adds. Nice to have the front end hold together for more than one season. Also stunt ships tend to get handled a lot by picking them up by grabing the fuse. This will also prevent any un-necessary dings etc. in that area. YEAH, WAY COOL

Very nice. One of my favorites as my somewhat famous author/cousin
did 200 or so missions in Europe in various P47 models in the first of his three wars as a fighter bomber pilot/squadron commander.
Got any drawings or sketches, demensions, etc. available? I am wanting to do a profile P47 D model around 55-56"span and am only coming up with some three views, etc. which is requiring a lot of interpolating and guestimating.
