Fox .35 vs OS .25FP

When both are running in a solid 2 stroke will the OS .25 FP make comparable power to the Fox 35 stunt. I have both, like my various Foxs, but love the easy starting, stable running, quiet performance of thye OS.

Reason I'm asking is that I'm thinking about the OS for my Oriental ARF. If a 35 stunt will pull it around the OS should do it just as weel - or am I missing something.

Not looking for a 2-4-2, just a steady run with good power. Never have flown a 2-4-2, as a kid I was pretty much self taught, and usually flew in a screaming lean 2 stroke. Older and wiser these days(now that I have SSW and Stunt News for guidance)I still run a solid 2 stroke but backed off quite a bit from peak revs.

By the by - the Oriental ARF is a beauty - wish I could build as nice as these factory workers. But then if I did the same plane day in- day out, I would probably get pretty good at it.

In a soft two, the OS 25 should pull the Oriental just fine. I have one on a Primary Force that pulls it as good as any Fox. But, I am a little unhappy with the OS as it doesn,t seem to hold steady run throughout the entire tank. The Fox runs perfectly on the same tank. I am reasonably certain that it is somewhere in the engine. ie. Head clearance, venturi size, perhaps fuel/prop combination. I am not one who likes to tinker and fiddle with engines constantly, so I just stick to my old Foxes.

Thanks Marvin, I like my Foxs too, but the .35s I have are kinda tired, abused as a youth. The 25 FP looks almost new, I have only bench run it but I like it so far.

Decisions, decisions.

We've been running an LA25 in Foxberg. Using the standard .262 venturi with the OS nva it runs exactly in the middle of the pack with the stunt 35's. It does run an 8/6 instead of a 9/6 though.

On a 500 inch profile the LA turns a 9/4 prop just fine and flies it very well. I don't think you will have any problems getting good flights with the FP25 on an Oriental.

I have about eight Fox 35 Stunts and ONE O25.

I am convinced that the OS can pull any plane better than any of the Foxes.
