Any plans for a 1/2A T-Bird?

Anyone know of a kit or plan for a 1/2A size thunderbird?

Hi Jim,
Tom Dixon has plans for the "Baby Bird". It really flies well with a medallion or TD 049. I have seen one, and it is a direct scale down of the T-Bird II. I have plans (I think, too many now to keep up with!)

I looked on his site and couldn't find the plan for a baby bird. Do I need to contact him directly to find out?

This was published in the November 1986 issue of Model Aviation. You can probably order the plans at the AMA website if you don't find it here. I'll mail a copy of the article if you want it.

I contacted Tom earlier this year about the Baby Bird. He has the plans but recommended I order the plans from AMA as they show both wings. His flew with a PAW .049 diesel using a 7X3 racing prop, he now recommends a newer 1/2a such as a Norvel. The AMA plans also show covering on the LG but the original used none.
