Beautiful day for a contest - breezy in the morning, stunt heaven by the afternoon.

Andy...I spent the weekend sick as a dog...but I am thrilled that the contest went off! It's great that a venue like Flushing Meadows is utilized and it's terrific that someone stepped forward and ran the event.

I believe that htis is the first event there since Joe Ortiz moved to AZ?

Hi Rich,
Sorry you were sick, we had a nice turn out and yes this is the first one since Joe left for Arizona. We did try one in 1999 but got rained out. Joe was definitely looking down upon us and gave us a beautiful day. We all had a great time and are looking forward to a bigger turn out next year. Those that didn't come missed a great contest.
We also had the honor of having Joes' son Alex their along with his wife Elaine and daughter Melanie. He also competed and won a trophy for in the ARF and the Beginner event. He has the makings to be a great flyer some day and has the same enthusiasm that his dad had. Right down to the picture taking. I'm already looking forward to running next years contest. See you all next week at the GSCB Contest in Joisey.

Love and kisses,

Mr. 1969 NATS,
Bob

Hi Bob, I couldn't stay until the end. What were the results of the meet? I was wondering where the UKEY with the OS, the Skybolt and the Flite Streak placed in beginners as well as the rest of the results ? Great looking green paint job on your plane. Thanks for mailing out a notice to me about the meet. Take Care, Mike
