Are You Running An AeroTiger .36?

If so, could you please tell me your prop, line length (assuming .015" braids), launch rpm, lap time, and the size/weight of your model?

A friend who has no internet access could greatly benefit from this info.

I use 10% GMA 22% fuel, 4.5 oz. tank
Lines are 63' eye to eye .015 on my 50 oz. faux Nobler.
I use the prop that Randy sent, an 11 X 4 Bolly, or maybe a 12 X 4, cut to 11".
I have a Phelps prop for it, too, but cannot see a difference. I use NO filter on the venturi, and the venturi is what Randy shipped.
This critter took a long time to break in, but is, in my opinion, the BEST stunt motor available....

we put an apc 10.5 X 4.5 on one just fooling around with it on a profile and it ran REALLY good...
it sounds like a mini-PA it breaks in little tiny burps in all the right places, it is really a GREAT motor.

I will be starting with the Phelps/Werwage prop (glad I got a couple when Jerry was making them!), otherwise I would use a Bolly 11-4, although the 10 1/2-4 1/2 APC DID work quite well on the profile.

63" eye to eye, .015. Kaz handle.

5% Sig Champion, ground rpm?? don't know, just set it where it will unload on the first lap to a hard 4 cycle, sorta like I say: "cackling". Black (corse) air filter.

Werwage I-Beam Vulcan that will be under 40 oz.

Don't have a PA 40 Ultra lite yet, but this is the finest running 4-2 engine I have ever had for Classic planes. (and I've had them all ) Stronger than the Fox 35 by a bunch, and smoother, with just the right amount of break.

Im thinking about the Aerotigre 36 for my Olympic but wondering if it will be enough of power??? It should to put it around pretty good with tension.

If the Aero Tiger 36 isn't enough to fly yor Olympic, then you must have substituted pine and maple for all the balsa.
Seriously, Jerry Phelps flys his Patriot, Billy Werwage flies his '62 Ares, Bob Whitely flies his Shark 35, and several others fly Classic planes much larger than the Olympic with their AT 36s.
They are very strong.

You've got it! Randy Smith remanufactures a Thunder Tiger .36 with, among the good stuff, AAC. A terrific piece.

Yes, Let's get those Leonard Thunder Tiger .36s into our hands. The same goes for the ASP .53s.

I am runnin' an Aero Tiger 36 in a sctatch built profile flyin' it on 62 ft E 2 E at 5.2 5.3 lap speed on 5% fuel I can't give you an RPM readin' as my tach died. The prop that I'm using is an APC 10.5x4.5 and the engine seems to approve of it..

I see that you, too, had success with the APC 10 1/2-4 1/2 prop on a profile.
Most people around here don't use the Aero Tiger on anything but built up ships, so I was just playing around with mine after break-in to see what to expect when it goes into the finished Vulcan.
Seems the AT is pretty user friendly.
Unfortunately (only because I will have to go over the budget, again!), everything I hear about the new PA 40 Ultra lite is that it's way better than the Aero Tiger!

It is a reworked TT 36. Randy has an AAC sleeve/piston set made up by Nelson with different timing, saving maybe a 1/2 oz. Can't remember exactly, but he sets them up as to correct deck height, etc., and they are a fairly high rpm 4-2 engine, perfect for most Classic Stunt Ships. Very user friendly, and I am not sure if anyone has wore one out yet!
