And I recently bought an entire mdelers estate from a widow for $400.00.

You'd better sell out now!

Now one guy bailed out at $30, but two guys were still in the thick of it at $60. Can't you buy the whole engine on e-bay for that?

A good Fox-59 will bring about $150. NIB is approximately $100 more.
I guess, that's what I'd be expecting anyway!

Hey, the screws are no big deal. They should be common, every day, run of the mill...this was an American made engine, you know. The gaskets are a bit more of a problem, however. But there appear to be at least two "buyers" waiting in the wings. (Let's see, one at $60 and one at $30. There's probably a few more out there. These will be a lot easier to do than connecting rods. Hmmm....)

Hey, I recently sold a set of comics on *bay for a pretty big chunk of change. Course, they were old comics and in mint condition. Sold the first 10 issues of Todd McFarlane's Spider-Man (late 80s vintage) for a ridiculous amount of money awhile back. Amazing. Reminds me of the heyday of selling Magic: the Gathering cards on the internet. One chunk of carboard going for more than $300.

Guess value is what people will pay.

Most cities of any size have bolt and screw stores where you can get just about any type of screw you want, to include metric sizes. You can get a bag full, or one, depending on what you want. They're cheap, too.

OK, now I don't feel so bad - someone else hates to make gaskets as much as I do!

I bet a laser cutter would work great on gaskets. I'm glad to see that all that money is coming to Washington State. I don't think I know this guy, but do know the guy that sold the K&B Torpedo box on eBuy for $118. Steve

One thing about the Fox .59, they are natorious leakers around the head gasket, and it is no longer made because it's a real thick asbestos one! Last time I was in an old hobby shop and saw some of those old Perfect gasket sheet packages hanging on the rack with the original .25 cent price tag, I cleaned out the rack! I've been able to use them on a few of my motors and help out several friends with that supply over the last few years.
