I know there are some people that like O.S. 40H's. There are 2 NIB
for sale on the bay for a buy it now price of 45.00. Seems reasonable.

He claims they are new, but no box or muffler; however, if they are new, $45.00 is not a bad price. I already have several, or I would buy them.

The H model is capable of very good stunt runs.

I bought several a while back and like the run I get from them. This seller has been around a while and seems to be OK to deal with

I have bought several items from this seller and he is the real thing. If he says they are new, you can be sure that they are.

At the buy-it-now price the are a real bargain. If I didn't have so many engines already, I'd have made the deal a couple of hours ago.

OK, O bought the MAX-H 40 for $45. That's a lot cheaper then buying an RC version for the same amount, or higher, and then buying the venture and NV seperate and doing the conversion. Although I will buy a muffler and drill out for the muffler. This is $20 or so additional.

I have one running on a Pathfinder, and it works great. But, this one I converted with parts from Leonard and it was already broke in. So, bought engine off EBAY, converted to CL with SSW venture and NW, and then proceeded to start on first flip!

Now, what is the best method to break in these ringed engines?

The last time I flew a Max 40H it quit consistantly when I went inverted (side mount). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I thought that Fox was the only engine tyhat did that.

Years ago I lost a nice Skylark when a red head McCoy did that. It
had quit before but I had saved it. I tried inverting the plane with me holding it and the engine running and it never did quit. Died as soon as I went inverted. Never did figure it out so I can't blame any thing as the cause.

Discounting the P and RR versions, are all other variations of the H40 considered to be equally good for stunt use? I have the earlier H40S version with the single rear ball race but I've never known if the later twin ball raced engines kept the same port timings or were modified to suit the RC crowd.
