The Newest Brickhaus

This not model related. I think I am due one post after all this time.

I lost my 10 year old male dog Elvis on Saturday (this is why I did not fly Sunday-Priscilla and I were just spectators, as we had a long night). Everyone was very sad at losing our friend of so many years. Yesterday, Christi announced that she wanted a new dog for her birthday (Friday). I spent all day searching yesterday, and we went to Aubrey, TX and picked up our new addition Brickhaus.

We have a thirteen year old female cat with the same coloration. She is called Sugar-Booger due to the fact that most of the time she is a Sugar, but some of the time she is a Booger. Our other cat is Shadow and they offer us the best in friendship.

My cat is call Serial Killer. He didn't start out with that name, but has acquired it. All summer I keep finding half of rabbits (the back half) in the driveway by the stairs. Each time, the rabbit remains are in the same position and the same place. I mean, the cat is clearly a serial killer. Kills the same way each time; it's ritualistic.

Don't get me wrong, he's a sweet cat and still pretty young with a purr bigger than he is, but he is a one cat kill zone. Birds, mice, rats, rabbits, twice a mole and has even tried to take on a racoon (luckily, he got away). But the rabbit thing is starting to get to me.

I had a cat similar to that. One day he was stalking a hole in the ground, which I thought might be a mole. Suddenly the cat reached in the hole and pulled out a snake.
The topper for that cat was when he had a stand-off with a wild turkey in our back yard. The turkey was all fanned out to maximum size, and the cat was hoping to eat like a king. They circled around each other a few times then each went its own way.
Animals can be funny as well as loving.

Oh, did I mention, we named ours Ugh Li Jaun. Ughli for short.

Keep in mind, He is only 11 weeks old.

His Daddy is 160 lbs.

He is a Bull Mastiff (like Hooch), HE IS NOT A PIT BULL. He does not have pit bull characteristics at all.

History/Origin:
Developed in the late nineteenth century by crossing the Mastiff with the Bulldog. He was breed to combine power, speed and a keen sense of smell with the courage and aggression of a bulldog. In 1924 he was standardized and was officially recognized in England.

My dog was an Alaskan Malamute. She was 130lb and built like a tank. She died at 16 a couple of years ago. Greatest dog I ever had. My wife wants another.

I did an inspection for a lady not to long ago that had an 85lbs Sheppard and a 201 lbs English Mastiff. (I think she said English) Anyway it looked likes Brads but about 10 times bigger. The Sheppard was who I saw first and thought he was big But I could hear this other thing going nust in the backyard. She lets her in to see who was here and she was carring a basketball(regulation size I might add) in her mouth! I was taken a back by this thing at 201 it was almost up to my chest. Higher than my waist but lower than my nips. She was four years old and only wanted petting. What a handful. Completely destroyed the backyard!

That's a Mastiff.

The Bull Mastiff was bread 60% mastiff and 40% bulldog.

Mastiffs get way bigger. Their heads are a foot across. That would be to much for me for sure!

I saw Brick's Daddy, he was not that "big" actually, maybe the size of a big Golden Retreiver, but he weighed probably 30 lbs more.

Hey Brad, sorry about the loss. But I got to tell you, you guys and your butch dogs are really getting to me....I feel so small...

But I make up for it in heart! Don't let that pink ribbon fool you! My name is Ariel (Blame mommy for that one) and I'm a 2 year old Yorkie. All 5 LB's of me think I am just as big as a Mastiff, and if you want to get it on, just try something.
