A lifetime supply of Armature wire!!

A couple of nights ago, I fabbed up the control system for one of my new planes but when it came time to wrap the lead-out wires, I realized that I was completely out copper binding wire. Not an inch to be found anywhere in the house.

Soooo... Today I stopped in at my local electronics joint and asked for a roll of Armature wire. The guy behind the counter directed me to two locations. The first one was a wall-display of three-inch spools of wire. Cost, $5.95 each.

He also told me that I should check in the back room, where they stock parts and components for the builder/experimenter/repairman crowd. There, on aisle number nine, I found a 6 x 4 1/2-inch spool holding 1.1 pounds of the same stuff. Price, $14.00! Furthermore, the manager was nice enough to knock it down to $12.00, because it been sitting on the shelf for a year!

Holey smokes. Sometimes, we just get lucky!

Now, we expect you to USE all that wire, Young Man, and not waste it!
