Humongous C.G.?

Where do y'all Humongous fliers balance your planes? I like a plane that isn't hair-triggered, that is stable in level flight and takes a good bit of control input to turn.

Balance at 15% back from the leading edge and it will fly to suit you.

I agree with Jim. (This is actually true for a constant chord wing like the Humongous. If the wing is tapered balance it at 15% aft of the leading edge at the "average" chord (1/2 way out the wing)and you'll be within a smidgin' of perfect)

Balance the ship at 15% as discussed above. If, after doing so, the turn isn't comfortable to you at the handle, adjust the handle spacing until the response rate is comfortable. Remember that trimming the airplane to make the pilot happy isn't always the best solution. The interface between the pilot and airplane is the adjustable handle and the pilot/trimmer has to make decisions as to whether the handle or the plane is responsible for the pilot's unhappiness.
