The answer to the 2000 dollar question

After our lenghty discussion about Peabody's defibrillator post, I contacted our town's First Aid Squad. I began thinking that we have from time to time had some severe wounds and PROFESSIONAL care at the onset may not only prevent infection, but would also properly bandage and transport the victim to the hospital if necessary. We've nearly needed to have a red light and siren put on Al's van!

They said to contact them with a list of dates, and they would round up a crew to be present. I think if we gave a nominal donation each time, that would make the Squad happy and we would not need to lay out a large sum of money all at once.

I suggest that you bring this up at one of your local club meetings and find out if your community offers this service.

I would have some concern that if a plan like that were instigated it may well turn into a requirement by your local government.

For most of the accidents that happen at most contests RC,CL and FF, general first aid is all that you will ever need, we all had that in high school.

Fight as hard as you want the world ain't made of Nerf and you're gonna go sometime. Your club wants to sequister a crew to hang at contests, more power to ya. Better yet, get one of them guys to fly CL with ya then they'll be there free of charge.

Require all of us to start childproofing our circles and flying with foam props and you've got problems with this guy right here.

It would not hurt to be sure your responder(s) know where the flying field is. And there is no reason they should not know about events occurring there.
