Gordon: That is a Renegade. I have one to be restored some place in the shop. Always thought that if you don't want to use it for Combat, just stick a small, mild engine on it, and landing gear, and use it as a sport/stunt model. Currell

Ok, I get it. It has a name and you want us to tell you what we think it is, right? I thought you wanted to give it a name. So, it looks like a profile Chizler. I thought the name "Swoop" described its looks.

Summary: AETOS is the Greek word for eagle, a superior bird in the air. Aetos was designed to fill the gap between the 15- and 35-sized airplane. The profile look does not stop its performance. The Aetos will help the novice to get the feel of a 35-size airplane but not at all the cost, as we all know the price of balsa wood is getting higher and higher. The wing span is 42 inches, which means you don't need to have a large car to go to the flying site.

Aetos is correct. I built this in the late '70s and never really spent much time flying or trimming it. It has gotten hangar rash from too many moves. I thought that Dick Sarpolas designed it. Guess my memory is failing. I'll try to sort through my plans and see for sure. One odd thing about it is the rear half or so of the fuselage is built up.

I've been on the road looking for a place ( land or house and land or house and land and shop or land and shop or land and flying field or whatever.) That's why I haven't looked at the board. I do have a 'puter but not one of them portable ones.

Built a MEGA AETOS in 85. This was a 35 sized ship. It flew very well with a Fox 35. A very good first flaped airplane. One problem however was a fairly springy landing gear design.

My submission for a fitting name is, "STUNTERMAN", after the famed Superman. Just add a cape to the cockpit.

i say it is an "upsidasium". those who remember boris badinoff will know that upsidasium is a rare earth element that happens to be lighter than gravity.

I've always wanted to name a plane "Delores" in order to honor one of Seinfeld's TV girl friends.

This plane has a real name and I think Tom Perry nailed it. This plane belongs to Kreth whom I flew with this past weekend. The fuse is built up in the tail. I am hoping that Kreth will drop in to give us the name along with the details.

Hey, I don't exactly know what you are trying to imply with your remarks, but the head is not on incorrectly it just looks that way in the picture. My memory may be failing, but if anyone is going to comment about it, I'll be the one to do so not someone from the left coast.

I'm a very busy guy who often gets to the forum latge at night when very tired. I have been wondering when someone would bring this up.

I find the lower case and all the full stops very difficult to comprehend. Even with spelling mistakes and simple typos, correct sentence structure makes posts easier to read and comprehend.

You could, with your background, write stunt's equivalent of a Pulitzer Prize winner but what's the point if people cannot comprehend what you have written?

David Ogilvy did quite a bit of research into getting a message across with the printed word. An Aussie built upon it and I've added a very little myself. If anyone wants a brief explanation of the research, I'm happy to share. Just email me.
