Does anyone know what the difference is between a K&B 29 and 29S?

For that matter is there a K&B 35S and if so how is it different than a K&B 35?

Externally, the Green Head 29S I had years ago had "29S" in tiny letters on the front of the head. Internally it has different timing to allow it to 4-2 better.
I never have seen a GH 35"S".

Did the 35 have the same timing as the 29S?

From the way my K&B Green Heads run/ran, the 35 was like the regular 29. The 29S is the only one I ever had that would run a clean 4-2 break.
The rest ran best in a wet 2 cycle.

Greetings,
K&B 29S: Bore .725 Stroke .720
K&B 29R: Bore .750 Stroke .672
K&B 35C,35,35RC: Bore .790 Stroke .720
These are the only .29 &.35 engines listed by K&B effective April, 1960.
The main differences in the .29s appear to be bore and stroke. The .29S has the same stroke as the .35 but a smaller bore.

Regards,
Phil

What are the intake and exhaust timings on the different engines?

As noted earlier, the 29S had different timings that made it a stunt engine, that is what I'm really looking for. I wasn't sure if K&B carried that design into newer engines so I'm fishin for information.

I've got three 29S (two have damaged or missing parts) and one 35. I'm planning on using these for the Nobler, stunting mustang, and Flying Fool.

My best understanding is the 29S would fly slow enough and carry a heavy enough prop to be excellent for C/L stunt. I'm sure today there are probably better engines but I'm stuck in this groove...

Plus these engines are light!!

This has got me thinking, I've got parts right before me, time to look for myself and get the skinny on these things.
