FM plans!

I'm aware of the Sieverling's 'Crusader' and Mackey's 'The Profile' - what other stunt 'mini plans' (small plans with full size parts) were there?

PS could anyone send me scans of the above two - Jim T kindly sent me copies but I'd like 'fresh' electronic versions.

Just off the top of my head, Palmer's MARS, Mackey's Bluebird, and many, many more, except the Jack Sheeks I-Beamers, had a drawing page with 1:1 size fuselage formers, tips, tail outlines, halved ribs*, a few other details.

(* - The symetrical ribs were TOO OFTEN drawn either staggered like an overhead view of a flight of stairs, or were all drawn on the same chordline, but with only the curve, notches, etc., ABOVE the chordline shown. Up to the modeler to mirror the curve shown to make a complete rib. With low taper, those surface outlines were VERY close at times!)

BTW, I have copies of the Sieverling CRUSADER (FM-10/59) and Mackey THE PROFILE (FM-09/59). I could try scanning those and sending them to you. I do not have the original magazines to scan from, thus quality may not be any better than would be your scan from the copies Jim T. sent you.

I have a large number of plans/scans etc for these. let me know what you are interested in and I will send some to you

Apologies! I meant to say that the Palmer VENUS, round cowl, Lockheed ALTAIR-looking model was in FM with the 1:1 size parts page. (SMOOTHIE was in Air Trails. MARS was in Model Airplane News.)
