Wind meters.

I just bought a wind meter from one of my friends who flys Free Flight. Best thing I've ever seen: Digital with current, average, and high gust and respond instantly with real time readings from about 2 mph up. They're very sensitive even at low speed. I've seen several set up at FF contests and at the end of the day the averages will be within a few tenths of a MPH. The only bad part is it can be like having an accurate ruler when you're fishing....

I don't sell them and they are a bit pricey but if any of you are interested, I'll put you in contact with the man who does.

I only use one wind meter. If the US flag is blowing straight out the wind is around 12 mph. If it is whipping in the breeze, its over 15 and I probably don't want to fly.

Come on now: I've seen you fly when the FlagPOLE was bentover 90 degrees and the flag was straight out from that!
