I hear ya; It's really nice up here too. I've been putting off adding some desperately needed insulation to the attic. Just snuck to the puter for a short break.

Geez, Marvin, if I had a nice day, I wouldn't waste it like that! No worries, tho... around here it's blowin' like the '03 Nats, so I don't really mind that I have 2 bedrooms to paint and a shower stall to finish, AND we've got a houseful of company coming next weekend, so the week will be full of cleaning and organizing.

No, around here, the weather totally BLOWS! (pun intended) If it's not raining, it's windy. It's getting cold enough almost to snow. Looks like building season may be upon me... (sigh)...

No kidding. it blows . . . Here in NH, two Sundays in a row with temps over 60 degrees, and it blows like a hurricane.

At least last Sunday was a good one for Trick or Treats. My daughter dressed as the Statue of Liberty.

That oughtta be worth DOUBLE candy!

Yeah, I know. It is normal for it to blow here in Kansas, so it is really unusual for there to be a perfect day. What hurts is that I had already commited to do the work around the house. (Based on the weather forecast, which was for winds in the 20 t0 30 MPH range)
I did get most of the jobs done but will need about another half day.

Hey Marvin, when you get done, come help me. I been trying to get the yards in order. Nothing like four properties and a church to take of. But, as the saying goes, there will be better days. DOC

Dave and I just finished flying at Sepulveda Basin, nice day with 62 in the morning and warming to 77 with calm in the morning and increasing to 10 out of the sun by 1:00. Not bad.

Hi Marvin; Great day at Salina. Flew my Viking with the Fox 59, and my Taurus with an Anderson Spitfire that really hauls that 850 sq. in. wing. Getting ready for VSC. Now if I can just get the Nobler done, Ill be all set. I have been putting off all that other stuff until I retire next March.

Don't feel too bad. It was overcast, but calm most of the day here. If it hadn't been 45 degrees with about 95% humidity and drizzling on and off, I might have gone flying...except for the many tasks to do that included mowing the lawn, a bunch of bills and such and of course, substantial shop time thrown in.

I used to fly in shirtsleeves in 35 degree, sunny weather when I lived in Idaho. But 45 degrees in Puget Sound in the winter is COLD.

WELL the last TWO day's herre in Portland, Oregon have been SUPER. Sunny, cool, light breeze and about 40 flights.....so good:D

AAhhh, fall in Huntsville, Alabama. Low 70's, high 60's, 46% humidity, light breezes with the sun at our backs, flying from a low grass football practice field at Athens High, no one bothering us, a few stopping to watch. Got in ten flights and now Ronnie Thompson, a 5 first place winner in this last Nats in power free flight, can do most of the pattern. Lots of learning and lots of flying. House/yard work can wait until monday. Mother nature dumped all them leaves, mother nature can just blow them away, I refuse to rake leaves. Besides after a good rain or a fair wind, the end up in the neighbors yard and his kids rake them up. They don't care about models, so they can just rake leaves.

Wow Randy that sucks--- the weather here in Graham was dead calm about 60 degrees and mostly sunny--finally got to fly on my new circle both days---I got lucky:D

I meant to tell you that last week the Whittier Narrows field was nice too. The temperature was same as this week, the wind was however, right into the sun.

My dad came out and put in three flights with his Jim Armour 'Stang 60 ship. I am trying to get him to start flying stunt again because he now knows more about R/C now than C/L! (And he entered one overhead like oldtime).

Eyskens is doing well with his Vector and only needs a new ignition battery.

My old friend Dave Passannante has Mullinex's old 46 Chandelle and is doing well with it too. He is learning the finer points now such as adjustable handles, balanced props and foam wing and stab repair.

I haven't seen Igor Panchenco's new ship yet, but it should be special.

So we have replaced the old guard Arizona defectors with newer and retread blood. SoCal has a plenty of competitors to clog up the practice circles. Wish you were here.

Know how you feel Marvin, two good days here in KC. Spent the first putting in a flowerbed. Spent the second morning working and the afternoon recuperating. Swung that darn mallet so many times Saturday that my right forearm locked up. Had to get the neighbor to massage it loose. He thought I'd broken a bone the knot was so hard.

Ah well, there'll be greener and warmer days just around the corner, come May!
