Muffler Fit - Veco 19, Royal 25?

I asked Len about my old Veco 19. Turns out, MECOA does still have the venturi, and they're sending me one. However, before I send specific measurements to Len for a custom job, does anyone know of an existing tongue muffler that will fit (no lugs, must be strap style)?

I also picked up a finished SkyRay from a very nice E-bay seller today. It has a Royal 25 with no muffler. The Royal appears to be a straight copy of the TT 25 Pro (FP style case, but ball bearings). What tongue muffler will fit?

Also, what RC muffler will work, so I can use it for RC as well? (Our club has a pretty severe noise limit.)

Check with Scott Riese who occasionally posts on the board. He just fabricated for me a tongue muffler mount of my own design for the K&B 19 R/C. My design inserts through the two exhaust rotor holes in the sides of the exhaust stack. You then screw the tongue muffler into this. Note - this is for the K&B 19 RC version with the rotor holes already in the exhaust stack. Scott has the details or I can send them directly to you.

I'm glad you found a way to attach a muffler to the RC version. The way they did the exhaust baffle was pretty invasive - holes drilled right through the sides of the exhaust port flanges. It leaves some big holes if the muffler is not specially designed to cover them.

Mine is the control line version, though, and there were never any holes. I'm hoping a tongue muffler will be an easy fit, but I'll probably send it to Len for a custom fitting. I just wanted to find out if anyone knew of a ready-made one.

On occasion you can find the little plugs to fill the exhaust stack holes anmd allow th use of a strap-on muffler. (This is the same system used on the old K&B 40 that had the holes in the stack.) The stock muffler uses the little bar through the holes and one screw to hold the muffler on. In three years of looking, I have obtained one stock muffler.....

MECOA said they had them (Veco 19 mufflers), but you had to have the holes first. He didn't recommend drilling them in mine.
