Brodak ARF Oriental wood quality

I was out at Sepulveda Basin this Saturday and had ocasion to need some tank shimming. In a search for material to secure the tank I asked around for some wood. The local guys are always helpful and came up with a trashcan full of wrecked Brodak ARF Oriental. I chose a piece of 1/4 inch flap that made a perfect tank floor. The wood was pretty strait grained, light and easy to cut. The other flap was good and light too.
This was my only look at ARF controls. They don't inspire confidence.

So there is a place for ARFs in Open too, my tank floor.

It should be rather obvious.....really?

Just a fun post to razz the ARF crowd and tell them the wood was good in this "test" sample...don't get mad.
