I have to build a motorcycle engine in the morning. But I'm going to try for clear tomorrow.

EDIT: These pictures realy don't do it justice!
As for nose art I put Betty Boop on and it made it look cheap. So I opted to leave it with just RS.

EDIT: It took twice as long as normal due to having to make the mold bucks. Even at that it only took two and a half months from nothing to finish. Not too bad. Some people have asked me how I do it so fast. Well it's like anything you have to want to do it. I work at least 40hrs per week at this. Fly when the weather is good. You might ask if I have a 40hr per week job and 40 hrs on planes and flying,motorcycle riding and ect.. when do i have time to sleep? You will have plenty of time to sleep when your gone.(if you know what I mean).

Fly when you can, build when you must.. Enjoy....

Edit: No clear today.It will have to wait but I did take it outside for a few shots. Thank you for the kind words.

Beautiful. About the time I saw the pictures of the covering and fill, I thought: uh-oh, now it's starting to look a little ugly. Boy, was that wrong! These other guys are right - your finish and detail are amazing. It looks like it should've taken longer to do that than all the rest of it put together.

Your posts should be saved and submitted as the ulitimate CL stunt "how-to." Surely, there must be room in "Model Aviation" magazine for some of this.

I wish I had the time and skill to do something that nice!!!!

Steady hand and a REAL SMALL brush! LOL Just kidding I use a steel ruler and a Fine line drawing pen and film ink. Be careful and experiment on something else. Pratice Pratice!! Thats all it takes.

Also check out the templates that are available at the Drafting supply/Business supply stores. Squares/rectangles, circles, triangles, diamonds, arrows, and all sorts of figures are available. The plastic templates are pretty inexpensive.

One thing to remember when doing ink work is to use a "spacer" (masking tape works great) to hold the edge of the template off of the surface so that capillary action doesn't pull the ink under the template.

The cork backed rulers are made for this.

Sharpie Ultra Fine pens work real well, and there are metallic (silver) ink/paint pens that allow work on dark surfaces.
I have a Rapidograph set and use the other pens, also.

Great, Absolutely great pictorial. I know you are afraid of doing videos because:
1. The camera will make you look five pounds heavier.

2. You're afraid that they will shoot your "weak profile" side.

3. You're worried that your "best stuff" will be left on the cutting room floor.

4. Your worried that Halle Berry will try to steal your scenes.

5. You're worried that Halle Berry won't show up at all!!

6. You're worried that Christopher Lowell just agreed to do the annoucing.
