Saturday I got to fly the new "Richard Kits" Toni. After 4 flights It was trimmed out about as good as it gets. The model requires no extra weight front or back with an OS FP 35 with a tongue muffler, 0 degrees offset on the engine. 3/8 of an inch offset on the rudder, 3/4 of an ounce of weight on the wing tip and an APC 10-6 prop. The leadouts are fixed and installed as per plan. We used Powermaster 15% nitro 18% oil, syn and castor. We ran a standard 4 oz. GRW fuel tank which the engine didn't seem to like so Sunday we ran a 4 oz. GRW profile uniflow tank and got a perfect run. The ship flew like it was on rails, smooth in and out of maneuvers and stable in level flight. Gliding and landing was great. We flew on .015 60 ft. lines and with a good stable engine run about 5 second laps. Next week we'll use longer lines starting at 68 ft and I think it will fly just as good if not better. I'll keep you posted on the results.
