What thickness for a 15-19 and 29-35 design?

The profile Cardinal is about 14 mm.

It is well worth looking at Larry's latest description. The new fusalage design with the 1/64" sides should be excellent.

Without being complicated, good, stiff, mottled "C" grain is best.

15-19 sizes use 3/8" thick, 35 sizes and up use 1/2" thick.

Note that this is also the typical thickness of maple engine mounts for those same size engines.

I'm not sure about weight,but the last two I've built I've started laminating two good pieces of 1/4"x4x36 together with slow drying epoxy.The weight stays down and you end up with more strength than a light piece of 1/2",which helps stop the tail from flexing.
