Something I've been wondering about for a while.
At the local RC fields, everyone uses electric starters.
Some of the RC clubs practically require using one,
or at least a chicken stick.
At the C/L field I use, EVERYONE hand flips. I'm the
odd man out using an electric starter. Same at the
couple of contests I've watched. I'm wondering
why none of the C/L flyers use one. Is it just
that particular group, or is this typical?
Tradition? I even began hand starting after
a while.

Also, is there anything in contest rules which
expressly prohibits the use of an electric starter?
