Merco 35 muffler bolt width.

Does anyone have a Merco 35 that they could use to measure the center to center dimensions for the muffler mounting bolts? It would be preferable if you had a caliper and could give me dimensions to the thousandth of an inch (as best as you can). I need these dimensions to make a tongue muffler for one.

From my Merco .35 Red Head, Oval Exhaust (pre-muffler lug):

Inside length 1.125"
Outside length 1.250"

Sorry my calipers are metric, but it would appear to be
37mm center to center (about as close as you can get to
1.5 inches)

Good news and bad news.

The good news is that I tore the attic apart today, and found the box with the Merco 35 in it.

The bad news is that it does not have a boss on the side of the case for a muffler.

The good news is that it came with a muffler, and that the center to center spacing for the ubolt that went around the case and held the muffler to the case is exactly 1.50 inches. Looks like Kevin's dimensions are crack on.

My digital camera is giving me fits, which means another afternoon project to figure out what is wrong with it. I will forward on some pictures once I get it working properly.
