Elitists"??? WHAT elitists???#0 source
For a number of years it has been my privilege to know and associate with a number of top-rated Stunt flyers -- both in the USA and Europe. At no (repeat, no) time have I encountered any attitudes and/or actions that could be considered "elitist". Although I fly Old Time almost exclusively, I have been welcomed by--and have received much kindly advice on trimming, etc.--from true gentlemen like Trostle, Fancher, deJong, Walker, Whitely, et al., and at no time encountered anything except friendliness and openness. More recently, since moving to New England, the same can be said of folks like Suarez, Midgley, Urtnowski, Modesto, etc. The misguided notion by some that PAMPA's top-scoring flyers are "elitists" is pure fantasy! (I have no intention of arguing this point.)

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the job you have done for PAMPA and CLPA. I will make VSC upon retirement and will definitely have to shake your hand.

I have had the privilege of meeting and developing friendships with a few of the "elite of the 'elitists'". I tell ya, the guys have it all wrong! They will gladly tell me anything I want to know at anytime. Crazy ain't they?

BTW: Ain't Henk a really cool dude?

Geez, those wild and crazy guys, they must really be dumb to actually help others who might jump up and beat them one day.

I am happy to be able to call them friend whether or not they would have ever won a Walker Trophy or WC.

Hi Mike,
Is it really 15 years since the Whittier VSC?

Chris:
Actually it'll be 16 years in February. Time flies, doesn't it? By the way, VSC-17 is March 9-12 (yes, Wed. thru Sat.)

I agree 100%!

I have emailed Ted Fancher several times asking questions to help me better understand flying the pattern correctly. Ted has always answered them, in length, and I really appreciated his help. I have never met Ted in person, but I can tell by his email he his truly willing to help. I figured if I had a question on the pattern it's best to ask a pro.....never considered for a minute he was an elitists that would not reply.

"Elitists" I don't know who started this name, but I think it is way off base.
