Patti at Brodak's is GREAT!!!

With all the hooraw about John Brodak going on, I just had to post this story. I ordered a Oriental ARF a while back. UPS trashed it getting here. It looks like someone stepped on the box about halfway out the wing. Fixable, but what a bunch of aggravation. I emailed Patti at Brodak's and she called me to talk about it. She offered to ship me a new one, but the one I wanted was getting real shy in stock and she did not know if the one I wanted would be in stock. So I decided I would just keep it and fix it myself. Not that big of a deal. So she files an insurance claim with UPS and tells them I want to keep the plane but that it was severely damaged in shipment. Once it all sorted out (Dealing with UPS on a claim is SLOW!) she sent ME the UPS check for half the value of the insurance!!! HOLY COW! So now I have an ARF Oriental (that needs a little work) for <$30. And I will be ordering more from Patti in the future. Patti is the BEST!

I have dealt with Patti before at Brodaks, and I totally agree with you. While I didn't have any problems, it was obvious to me with my order, that she was going way beyond normal to satisfy me. All I was talking to her about were small little 1/2a control line thingees for.... Scientific/Musciano hollow-log models. She even came up with some old Cub engine parts. Sorry guys, they are now gone!

Agreed. Pretty remarkable service/replacement policies.

I bought a CardinalARF from a retailer. It arrived with about 5° dihedral in the wing, courtesy of USPS. I mentioned it to the dealer and he had Brodak send me a new wing! Naturally, I hope to repair the damaged wing, but . . .

My first B40 has been exemplary; 2-flip starts on the bench. I need to re-learn the engine on a plane, 'cause I flood it every now-and-then.

It is really nice to see some kind words on this forum. I agree with all of you though, John and all of his people are very nice, honest and helpful. Thanks again for the kind words it is a very nice change.

Have never had a problem with Brodak's people, they are number one. =DOC;)

One thing I have noticed is that it doesn't take a lot of work to be nice.
