landing gear w/ groove for pipe

I tried a search but had no luck. i am about to start on an Impact and would like to change it over to fuse mounted gear. where can I get landing gear with the groove for the pipe? I have seen this before but I didnt bookmark the site.. Thanks, BEN

Hi Ben,
While I have never seen a LG as you suggest, I think the best method is much simpler. Attach 3/8 X 1/2 Maple motor mount stock about 2 inches long on each side of the fuselage to act as the attachment points. These can be reinforced with some 3/8 X 1/2 balsa uprights extending up to the wing. Leaves plenty of room for the pipe.
This the method Randy Smith shows on his ships, and it definitely works good.

Winship models had a carbon fiber gear with a U in it to go around the pipe.

Don't know that he is still making anything.

Hi Ben, go to Crist Rigotti's site clguy.com, then look at the fuselage pictures for his Triple Nickel design. Some good shots of the fuse/L.G. arrangement. I think this is what Bill Little mentions in his post.
