Webra Silver Line .40

Does anyone know a place to get parts for a Webra?

I got a Webra Silver Line .40 to race (before I discovered the K&B 4011). I ran it for one practice day and it was strong with good range. Got to the contest and found performance dropped off and it was hard to start.

I found out it has a pin to keep the ring from rotating and the ring rides up on it wearing out the ends of the ring. I pounded the pin in so the ring won't do that but, I need a new ring. I also modified the head for racing so, I need to get a new one for stunt/sport work.

MRC, aka Model Rectifier Corp., used to import Webra, as well as Enya engines. You might give them a try, even though they don't appear to carry Webra anymore. http://www.modelrectifier.com/

Hobby Barn at least carries Webra engines, so you might be able to get the required parts from them. http://www.hobbybarn.com/engines.htm
I have a couple of Webra GT .50's intending to try them for stunt. They were cheap. I wonder why? Let me know if you have any luck getting the parts you need. A Google Search might also come up with a new importer. Steve

Horizon Hobbies is the current importer of Webra engines. I'd like to offer encouragement on getting a part for an older model from them but I'd not count on it too much. Frank Bowman probably can make a better ring then Webra had in it origionally but for a head well I guess you can ask them and then start looking at the bay and see if any MECCA members have parts.
