With all that's been said about PAMPA. When will the president speak up? I know that Mr. Bodak is registered here.

EDIT: Not once have I seen him reply to any question or statement. What's up with that? You would think he would defend his position.

Sparky my man, would you take out your tender parts lay them on the table and hand the hammer to your worst enemy?

Nothing good would come from it all. Pro JB people will applauded and anti JB people will whack away regardless of what he says.

There are various emails and other communications floating around outside this realm, including from some who DO post here, which aren't being revealed. Things may not be what they seem.

(We can wait for John's next column in SN, which will no doubt be combed through word by word and dissected thoroughly here..)

I recall distinctly seeing John Brodak as being the newest member of this forum. It could be possible that it was another John Brodak, or just somebody claiming to be. I don't recall ever seeing a post, and if you look in "profiles", he's not listed under "J" or "B". My guess is that he asked Leonard to remove his registration, when he figured out that he didn't need to register to read the posts. Otherwise, I don't think it's possible to DIY. I'd bet he knows what is being posted here, either directly or receiving reports, for what it's worth. Steve

Steve...
I believe that the registration of John Brodak was preformed by one or two forum users who probably don't have the nerve to admit it....

I don't know, Rich. I recall at the time that John or somebody registered on the forum using John's name and e-mail address. As I recall this account then later appeared on line (checking who's on line) so they got the password delivered to them. I assumed it was done by John.

On the same token, however, I cannot find the account now. Do you recall what name it appeared under? I have deleted inactive accounts (accounts that weren't used for several months) and perhaps it fell into that category. If it did, there was certainly nothing intentional in deleting it, as these are done as a group without any knowledge as to which or who falls into that category. Essentially I am trying to eliminate unused accounts where people for whatever reasn created a second account with a new name which they found preferable to their old.

At the same time, I really would not expect John to post online when he has not chosen to post before, unless he merely wanted to present an item of information to the group. I have a feeling he is busy enough with all of his enterprises and doesn't need to occupy his time as a participant in our forum.

Robert:

This is not the appropriate place for John B. to conduct PAMPA business. The proper place for him to respond to the general membership of PAMPA is STUNT NEWS.

Why do we not have a forum on PAMPA website? This is the electronic age.

Robert:

Look at what goes on here with an incredibly patient moderator.

Len does a great job here, why have duplication?

Jeff W

PS: In our club, only about 1/2 the members are on the net. It's nice but I don't see it as primary.

And feel it up with this garbage? That'd be a laugh. The whole board would consist of the same fart and challenge idiology.

Sniff, you had brocolli for dinner, EXPLAIN YOURSELF.

I like Brocolli.

You don't have any right to like Brocolli, EXPLAIN YOURSELF.

Ad Nauseum

Any response here like ANY PAMPA business HERE is WORTHLESS.

So give it up and use your district reps the way they were intended to be used. Then waste the bandwidth with this garbage over on UseNet. I know that we're supposed to be 'A group of freinds talking about current issues' but this has gone into the realm of Psychotics propping up psychotics. Like Bush or Clinton haters feeding each others fires till one of the wackos goes and does something REALLY stupid. We have bylaws and rules and if someone violates those I'm sure we'll read about their removal procedure in the next Stunt News OR you'll be contacted by your District Rep. I trust Allen, that's why I voted for him. Of course that vote fell behind my microwave but what the heck, the intent was there.

Officials (and officers and editors) posting on a forum might as well paint a big red bullseye on their chests.. I've seen it time and time again on Usenet. Once in a while you get one who is really good at interacting with others (Rich Hanson, AMA District X VP, was one, Dave Mathewson is another), but in most cases, they get hammered mercilessly, usually by a tiny minority of people posting huge amounts of drivel. Sandy Frank, for instance, immediately became Horace Cain bait the minute he'd post something. Nothing good usually results.

PAMPA officers and various committee members only. Until I'm told otherwise, SN is still THE only way for officers to communicate to PAMPA members.

Upstream I saw above piece. Most amusing. I was on the EC when I started on SSW. Brett's on it now. Same for Bruce Hunt. Don Hutchinson. No big red targets from what I see.

On a bit more serious vein re Presidential communications.

With all due respect to the good work of Tom, Will and Ken, the President's Stunt News column is not truly a means of "communication". It is a reasonable place to "report" events that are a couple months old, but the lag time pretty much prevents any rational communication between the President and those he serves, particularly the other officers and the District Directors.

Again with all due respect (and that isn't meant to be snide) probably the biggest reason for the current brouhaha regarding the rewrite of the bylaws, the situation with Warren Tiahrt and the Flying Models ads is the fact that our President has not communicated on a regular basis with his fellow trustees. In nearly a year there has been no contact with the others in any formal sense regarding the conduct of PAMPA affairs. Given the fact that all trustees are on the internet, thus making regular communication easy, this is really not a good way of conducting our affairs.

I hope John will consider such a more open and regular method of communication. The organization needs it about now ... in no small measure because we haven't had it so far.

I'm not, however, suggesting that John should make regular reports on SSW; although a regular comment from time to time would reach a large percentage of PAMPA members in a much more timely fashion through direct readership and word of mouth.

I personally think that, unlike the predictions of a bulls eye on his back, he'd find that the members would appreciate knowing he cared enough about what they are thinking and saying to take an hour or so every month to address current issues under discussion. Plus, quite honestly, reading SSW on a regular basis would help him to learn more about the psyche of the Precision Aerobatic flyers he was elected to serve.

No, coming on SSW isn't part of the President's job description, but it wouldn't hurt and could very well help.

One man's opinion.

I find SSW a swamp and a jungle. In lieu of a safari (and I don't wish to shoot any animals) it's a stimulating recreation and occasionally truthful. When it comes to PAMPA matters it's very difficult to have a cool headed reasonable discussion. If you need to talk to John via e-mail slip him a note. The address is available from PAMPA I'm sure. Guess the man's too smart to subject himself to the weirdness of the accusations that go on here. (The weird accusations from a few). Need we count the ways.
