Flat Rate Long Distance

I would like to recommend a service that has recently come to the consumer. Flat rate long distance. My wife, in her brilliance, set up our phone service, so now I can call anyone in the US and talk as long as I want.

This has been invaluable recently, as now I do not hesitate to call anyone in my PAMPA directory, and especially anyone I correspond with on the Net. In fact, the Net used to substitute for high priced long distance rates. People chose to talk on forums, chat rooms, and e-mail, instead of using the phone. Now, using flat rate long distance, you can once again speak directly to the person concerned.

I called California last night, South Carolina a couple nights ago, and New York before lunch. It's great. My wife hates it!!!!

I use SWBell. If you use a Bell you should be able to search plans.

If you do a lot of calling, these are nice. They are like cellular phones or "all you can eat" smorgasbords, however. Because you have it, you tend to use it more than necessary. In fact, you sometimes feel compelled to use it because you have already paid for it. My long distance costs 3.5 cents a minute with no monthly fees added. That is a bit over 9.5 hours a month to get to $20. Now, if you are going to do that much long distance, and do it each and every month, then absolutely go for it. If you don't do that much, or just occasionally, and not every month, then one of the per minute plans might still be best.

that is a good point. Good math. Sometimes I have bad months. I like to talk when I get started.
