Early Christmas Presents

Okay, I know you guys south of here are just stoking up the oven for turkey dinner, but I just couldn't resist. Canadian Tire just started their pre-Christmas sales...

I got the box pictured here for $30 Canadian plus tax - it usually sells for much more. Now I don't anticipate needing ANYTHING else for my rotary tool anytime soon...

I've also decided to take the plunge into shrink-film coverings, so expect to see me posting lots of questions on that in the near future. I've also just ordered a new fuel syringe from Carl Shoup. When I see how much else I might get to spend this year (on myself...), I'll start salivating over engines and such...

Dankar, Good luck with new season. Looks like you can do alot of shaping with this. Don't forget alot of good sand paper and good masking tape. Monocote is real good iron on for profiles and others. For trim, there trim-cote is good.

At the risk of "busting a bubble", I'll mention that COSTCO and (I think) Sam's Club offer a 400+ piece set of "rotary tool accessories" for about $30. Naturally, this includes 100+ cut-off wheels and sanding disks, but it still looks like a heluve deal . . .

These days, $30.00 Canadian is a bit less than $30.00 US. Tim's deal doesn't look bad at all to me.

Some of those bits will make quick work out of cowling, solid tops, bottoms and wing tips.

Sorry Currell but a dollar to us Canadians is worth a dollar to us Canadians. It is only worth $.84 if we travel south. When I do a dollar's worth of work I don't say..gee I just made .84 cents in REAL money.
