ASP 15

Hi

Can anyone tell me the part number for an ASP 15 thrust washer?

Seems the supplier is too lazy to look it up but happy to sell me one if it's not too much trouble to locate in their warehouse.

Where do you get ASP .15s? I got one from Just Engines in the UK some time back. They probably would know the answer to this.

In US of A, we get Magnums pretty easy, ASP's are not unheard of, but not so easy. They appear to be the same, with a different logo and box. Leonard says they come out of the same factory, and generally parts interchange. If your ASP looks like this Magnum, then check Hobby People's website for parts. HP lists both their stock number and the factory part number, which may help you. Hope this helps. G'day, Steve

I don't know if they're exactly the same thing. The stats on hobbypeople.com concerning the Magnum .15 and the stats on Just Engines' web site about the ASP .15 show two different engines. The ASP seems to be built on their .12 and is a very light engine, despite the two ball bearings.

The same factory also supposedly makes the AP line of engines, and the AP .15 is yet another beast altogether. Rear exhaust, for one.

They're just starting a new combat class here in the UK using the ASP 15 - any model can be used.

Yup! I've been suggesting the same thing around here (S.E. Asia) - I even have two of the things and planes building. And, it turns out, they've already been flying it in New Zealand and South Africa. If I had my way it'd be one plane per pilot, not two.
