I believe that my question got lost in the previous thread.

I noticed what appears to be the Sea Hornet in the Critical Mass pics.
What is the status of that ship? I believe that a lot of peole have heard about it, and curiosity is a horrrible thing!

Project proved to be too large. I burned out and hung it up when I lost confidence that it would be competitive. Weight, power and lift again. With new technology, It could probably resurrected. It would take new engines, carbon torque tube flaps, new elevators and a total rework of the retract system. It would take another half year. I have a Critical Mass and a Millennium Mustang to finish first and that will take a year, at least.

Then I will be looking for it 2 years from now! LOL!!

It's amazing to me that folks continue to find things for Al to do with his time when he has proven to be stunningly adept at figuring out for himself what the next best project needs to be. (Al, tell us about the Sea Fury, Hornet, Whatever)

One of the by-products of celebrity, I suspect, like listening to folks in the back of the bar shouting out requests for some song they want to hear when the artist showed up with a playlist he knew was right for the venue. Wouldn't it be great if Al...?

I'm content to just sit back and watch what the man comes up with next, much as I'm content to wait and see what Burt Rutan does now that he's gotten (just barely) to the edge of space.
