Cut the first part tonight

After taking a week off I have decided to go back to the building board. As I have many projects started I have decided to build another T-Bolt for next years contests. I already have half the work done (mold bucks ect). So for now I will be taping the building of the new plane but don't look for me to give it away like I said I might do for the buyers of the tape. Sorry.

Let me explain my reasoning on this build. I have designed some very nice planes but after a long hiatus from flying a need a proven design if I plan to be competitive in the next season. What better way to do it than with a world class plane. Plus they are fun to build.

Matt Newman has sent me his Stuka plans but I will have to put them on the back burner as I do this next project.

After talking to a few builders I have found a way to loose the 2 oz That I gained with out knowing where it came from. So instead of 58.25 I will be where it needs to be a 56 or so. I know some of you think it doesn't matter but that is where the designed weigh was.

So I'll post as I go and tape as well. Tomorrow is a holiday so I should be able to accomplish allot.

Please let me set the record straight. This plane has no plans to speak of . The wing is a lost foam wing from Bob Hunt. The wing comes with no plans. I have a set of drawings for the wing tips,stab,rudder,ele,and fuse. I was told when I got these drawings under no circumstances to let them out.

I would love to be able to claim that I drew this but I did not. So if drawings are to become available Billy will have to make them. Sorry.

This build is not for the beginner as you must make mold buck and templates. The bucks and templates are the hardest part of this build IMO. Not to say that some people couldn't build it but it is a difficult build.

Stats on this plane are 8.75 nose 17.5 tail although I know the were some built at 20. Too long for my likes. 4 inch bell crank with arrow shaft pushrods and ball links.All molded parts. Wood in this plane came from LoanStar. PA 61 or PA 65. Bill Lee prop. 3 chamber pipe at 17.25- 17.5 Fuel tank Purell Hand sanitizer bottle with clunk (so home made).
Target weight 56.5. Mine 58.25. Finish Poly-Span Sig dope,Clear PPG Strato Clear thinned with DT860. Total finish including covering 8 oz.

How about a set of drawings so that some of us might duplicate your effort?

The plane sure looks popular enough to justify the extra work.

Did you build your P47 from Bill`s plans.Or does he have a complete set?
Your new bird looks geat.Good job. 58oz.is a good weight for that size of a plane.It has 720sq.inches of wing.Wish my Tony weighed 65oz.

So the wing is a Bobby Hunt kit, available to all?

So what are the vertical measurements for the wing, and horizontal tail to thrustline?

Well the wing is a 3/32 instead of 0.77 and the cap strips are a 1/4 wide instead of 3/16. My new stab will be laid up istead of cut from a sheet. No carbon fiber in the tunnel. Just a few little things to add up to alot.

GEO/BOLT Lost foam wing.

Stab is on TL.
Wing center off TL is 1.125

Going with a proven ship is a smart move. Also, most of us would love to see the "Razorback" done on video. Now that you have already made one, you can concentrate on looking pretty for the camera. I contacted "Industrial Light and Magic" which is George Lucas's operation, and they said that they would love to do the special effects for it providing you can guarantee them a summer release!
