What to use on a Walt M engine

I don't like looking through the trash for Vintage Baby Bees to be legal. And the thought the the glow heads cost about 10 bucks irritates me too.

So what would YOU choose.

I'd like a cheaper head, not ruling out diesel unless that's against race rules.
I'd like to get away from that silly ball socket. Why they couldn't use a standard connecting rod like they do on Norvels I don't know.
I'd like it cheap, again a standard Baby bee would be cheap to buy with the exception of 30 bucks of heads and the possiblility that it's waorn out before I get it with new parts illeagal for the Walt M race.

Be a wild and crazy guy, use a OK Cub .049 on 35% nitro, plus a 5 1/2-4 Power Prop. Anyone out there need 1/2A or A or B class speed props, send me your needs. I got a bunch of wood props with real high pitch angles. Still on the original rack.

Watch the swap meets. You can get standard heads cheap there.

Babe Bee engines, ranging from Bones to Like New, often are basically given away. A lot of times, you get a bag of them that will make three or four good engines for a very reasonable price.

Don't forget that the Hi Comp head is not legal at the Musciano Meet, and you use Club fuel there. But if you are just fooling around, yes, both high nitro (25% or more) and the Hi Comp head (with the serrations on top) help.
