I know this is not really fair, but it's important to me...

From thread asking about writings of Bill Netzeband, I have snagged, intact, a response I put forth.

While this is a duplication of efforts, and in advance I apologize for confusion which may result, my comments, and those of Keith, Randy, Brett and Preston serve to create a standalone post. One which I view as being quite timely.

My wife has a hat, that she wears around the house when she is particularly ticked off about something. It was given to her by someone close, and it means business. It is noteworthy because
1) she doesn't wear ball caps.
2) it is against all of her sensibilities to actually say these things (well, ...maybe amongst the ladies she would).

It says " **** all y'all".

I'm sure that the mentioned principals in Danny's letter have said it too.

Rumor has it Dan and Rich have joined forces to create the first PAMPA ballot counting team also know as PAMPABCT. In a grand gesture, he and Rich also agreed to meet in Muncie and share a motel room to save expenses. Film at eleven. How can you say Dan holds a grudge?

Actually, I don't hold grudges. But I do have a pretty good memory, get thoroughly upset when my friends get beat up for no good reason, just slough it off when same happens to me. Something about a real thick skin.

And I do use my memory of certain events from the past when the same old crap keeps coming to the fore, when the same devious tactics are used, when damage is being done to both people within PAMPA--the status of Warren's recognition and award again, please?--and to PAMPA itself.

A person came only take so much of this; I hit the wall about four months ago. Would have hit it several months earlier but for taking at face value Brett's advice earlier in the year. No problem; I believe even Brett see things a lot differently today, he and I both placing quite a lot of emphasis on an honest discussion of the issues, playing by the rules.

If and when the handful of misguided souls resort to their usual tactics, you better believe I'm gonna slip into the way-back machine, coming up with examples of how the division of like-minded people has been used to the advantage of the usual suspects in past years. Know thine enemy comes to mind, somehow...
